Programme Assistant

The Saltire Foundation exists to find, fuel and spark Scotland's human potential, in turn creating our next generation of business leaders. We offer two world class programmes, the Saltire Fellowship and the Saltire Scholarship.

We are looking for a part-time Programme Assistant (10/12 hours/week) to join our team at our office in Glasgow. It is an outstanding opportunity for a bright, energetic individual to work for an exciting Scottish not for profit; to learn, take real responsibility and build an impressive CV; plus to meet and network with many of Scotland's leading business people.

Responsibilities Include

  1. Provide operational support for undergraduate and fellowship programmes
  2. Assist with admissions process for undergraduate and fellowship programmes
  3. Assist with event planning and alumni programme
  4. Attend Saltire Foundation events
  5. Liaise with Saltire alumni
  6. Manage Saltire Foundation social media presence and website
  7. Contribute to publication of marketing and communications materials
  8. Research toward development of new programmes

Essential

      1. A self-starter 

      2. Flexible and committed but prepared to have fun

      3. Excited by the opportunity to join a small team and be given real responsibility

      4.Be willing to work occasional evening or weekend hours for events

Desirable

  1. Be a final year or postgraduate student
  2. International experience and/or proficiency in a second language
  3. Interest in a career in the not-for-profit sector
