
As chairman, Peter will call on his international business experience and contacts to fuel the ambitions of the SaltireFoundation's participants as they aim to become Scotland's next generation of business leaders.
Peter's career spans over 30 years in the global tourism and hospitality sectors. Following senior management positions in Canada, he joined Gleneagles in 1984, progressing to managing director three years later and chairman in 2007. In 2001, Peter was appointed chairman of VisitScotland and he is board member of The Leading Hotels of the World and Hamilton & Inches.

In her 1994 Birthday Honours List, Her Majesty The Queen awarded Peter an OBE for his services to the hospitality industry and the honour of CBE followed in 2005.
