APPLICATION PROCESS

The general admissions cycle closed on 28th October.  However, the Saltire Foundation is now offering a special admissions cycle for penultimate year computer and information science students only. Applications are accepted using the below word application by e-mail until 1pm on 26th January. 

Admissions Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship programme you must:

• Be a penultimate year student studying full-time at a Scottish university (in third year of a four year degree or fourth year of a five year degree)
• Not have had a previous international business experience
• Be passionate about representing Scotland and improving Scotland's business prospects

Application Process

General applications for 2012 Scholars closed at 12pm on the 28th Oct but applications from computer and information science students only are welcome until 1pm on 26th January.

Stage 1: The first stage is to complete an online application. A Word Version  of the application is available for you to begin preparing your application.

Stage 2: You can submit your application online with applications being accepted until 12pm on the 28th October. Applications for 2012 have now closed.

Stage 3: Select candidates will be asked to a speed interview in Dundee on either the 7 or 8 November. All applicants must be available on both days.

Stage 4: Students who progress past the speed interviews will be sent project descriptions of available internships.  They will have the option to submit a statement of interest for 2-3 internships.  Saltire Foundation staff will inform the student which internship they have been put forward for.

Stage 5: The fourth stage is a telephone interview with the host company.  On average 3 students are put forward to interview for each internship at this stage.  The host company will inform the Saltire Foundation of its decision and the Saltire Foundation will notify the candidates of their status.
